Jiselle Steele

Coordination and Strategy Trustee.

Jiselle's involvement with UMRio began in 2014 when she worked with founder Robert Malengreau on a research project on youth, entrepreneurship and social mobility in Brazil. Jiselle was very inspired by the work that UMRio was doing to support children and young people through rugby, and was keen to draw on her experience in project management and youth and community development to develop and launch UMRio's first education and professional development programme, 'Eu Quero Ser'.

Jiselle developed UMRio's first education strategy and facilitated workshops in Morro do Castro to support the academic and career development of children and young people on the project for three years whilst she was based in Rio. Six years on, Jiselle is excited about taking on the role of trustee with ONERio with a focus on Strategy and Programme Development.

Outside of ONERio, Jiselle is based in Barcelona, trying to master Spanish and avoid eating too many tapas!
